Rachel and I took the kids to the grassy area on a nice windy day to try flying a kite. I couldn't tell you the last time I flew a kite, so wasn't to sure how it was going to turn out. It is just like ridding a bike, I don't know what I was worried about, we had lots of fun!!

Happy Birthday Stephanie

Debbie and I went to Ca. to surprise Stephanie for her birthday! She had no idea it was us at the door when the door bell rang. She was so excited yelling, jumping up and down she broke the pottery she had in the entryway!

Cheers!! We went to Stephanie's favorite sushi restaurant for dinner and I wasn't to sure what I was going to eat. I have never eaten sushi before besides an occasional California roll.

It was yummy, I am ready to go back. We did pretty good between all eight of us!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Bedtime Stories with Grandma

Grandma and Grandpa Walin made a quick stop just in time to read the kids their bed time stories. Sweet Dreams.

Bounce House Fun

At Bubba and Lexie birthday party they had a big bounce house. Alex and Monique wanted nothing to do with it for the first couple of hours. When it was empty of all the kids we got in and then I couldn't get them out!

When Alex finally warmed up to the bounce house he had fun.

Water Time

We were not planning on getting wet, but it was so hot out I put the little pool out. Yes, Cash is in his pj's still and Alex wanted to take his shorts off! Monique got up to fast, but she was sitting on the chair with her feet in the water just hanging out watching the boys taking in the sun. These two don't have a chance! It looks like they are holding hand. :) She wanted to go back out. Thankfully we have the deadbolt up high!

Monique's First Hair Do

I did Monique's hair for the first time, and I didn't go so well so I am glad she didn't stay still for the picture.

Here you can see it was just long enough to put it in little pigtails. Then she wanted to put a headband on by herself of course.

Fixing Daddy's Truck

When I told Alex we were going to Grandma & Grandpa Walin's house so daddy and Grandpa Phil could work on his truck, he got excited and wanted to bring his tools along to help too!

Alex's First Sleep-Over

We had a last minute sleep over with a few friends; Lincoln & Bubba. We made a bed in the living room and watched 2 of the Toy Story movies before Lincoln wanted to leave and Bubba fell asleep.

Around 10:30 Alex wanted to go to bed, but in his room! Remember Bubba was asleep on the living room floor, luckily he sleeps like a rock. While Mike carried him I was able to move the living room bed to Alex's room. Bubba was out and Alex finally went to bed!

7:30 came early when we heard hammering on the wall and laughing. So Mike put a stop to that quickly with cartoons! Of course now we asked Alex if next time he is going to sleep at Bubba's house he says "no Bubba sleeps in his room"! :)
